Module 4: Practice Embedding Part 1

Thinklink (www.thinglink.com/featured)

In this module I created a Thinglink image to embed in my blog.  Thinglink enables you to create interactive images for use on the web that can be shared on social media, used for advertising or for educational purposes.  It enables you to tag certain parts of the image with a popup window that presents the user with a website link, video or text box for further information.

Thinglink can be especially useful in teaching. The Thinklink I created below is an example of how it can be used to teach learners about computer hardware.

To add a Thinglink to your blog

1. Go to http://www.thinglink.com and login to your account

2. Click on Create and upload an image

3. Click on the image and in the left panel that appears give the image a name or paste a website address

4. Enter the text for your tag.

5. Click on Share and copy the embed code or link

6. Paste the embed code into the

Thinglink for Teachers

For further information on using Thinglink for teaching visit this YouTube video by Rich Colosi Media.

There is also a Thinglink app available for iPad and Android devices. To download the Thinglink app click on the appropriate link for your device:
