10th August 2016 I received three days training on OS X Support Essentials 10.11 (El Capitan) and passed the exam to qualify as an Apple Certified Support Professional.

Module 8: Reflect and Plan

1. What was your favourite module in this course?

My favourite module was Module 3.  I enjoyed the process of creating a blog site and learning how to use WordPress.  As far as my teaching goes ‘blogging’ is a game changer, I’ve started to think differently about how learners can produce and present their work.

Flashcards to Learn the Creative Commons Symbols

For Module 6, I chose to make Flashcards with Quizlet.  I first came across Quizlet on my Digital Literacy Practitioner’s course, but hadn’t tried the flashcard feature and thought this would be a good time to give it a go.  I decided to create flashcards on the Creative Commons Licenses as this would be something I could use for my students.

Module 5: Get Social

The Social Media platform I chose for my Module 5 post is Twitter.  I have had a Twitter account since 2012 and have found it beneficial in following things that are of interest to me.

In part 3 of module 4 I embedded a presentation on Digital Responsibility that I found on SlideShare.  The SlideShare website was launched in 2006 and is a slide hosting website.  It can host PowerPoint, Keynote, PDF or OpenDocument presentations.

In this module I created a Thinglink image to embed in my blog.  Thinglink enables you to create interactive images for use on the web that can be shared on social media, used for advertising or for educational purposes.
